Evil Avalon
Chapter 72-even if it's slightly inconvenient
(TL:By Rafael)
The E class group parades around the first floor of the dungeon in search of a place to practice. Pink-chan walks at the front of the group, with boys on either side of her carrying her luggage. Her classmates followed in the middle, and Kaworu, Tsukishima-kun, and I followed at the tail end.
" I wish I could bring a lot of big magic stones, but I can't do that right now because if I stand out, I'll be stuck in a lot of situations."
"...... Yeah. Then I have high hopes for the future."
When Tsukishima-kun, walking in front of him, blurts out that he can always fetch a high-level magic stone, Kaworu replies clerically, as if she doesn't expect anything. But in truth, he may be telling the truth.
I've asked Lisa to check on Tsukishima-kun's movements, but I haven't been able to catch his tail. What we do know is that he is usually out playing with his good classmates and rarely dives into dungeons. Despite this, he seems to be leveling up nicely.
When I first heard this report, I was puzzled, not understanding what it meant, but now I have a pretty good idea what to expect. Perhaps he summoned "something" to make them hunt alone. That way, he can raise his level even if he is outside the dungeon.
Of course, there are plenty of problems. Summonses and elementals used by high-level players require a huge amount of MP even when invoked manually, and even when successfully summoned, they are impossible to maintain at low levels. In addition, summoned items in the game basically do not move unless you give them detailed commands.
Even if you were able to break through these restrictions, if you let a powerful summoned beast run amok without monitoring it, you should be able to get at least one report from an ordinary adventurer. But no such information was circulating.
If we were to consider the common sense of Dun-Ex, we would normally conclude that this is impossible, but now that the game has become a reality, it is possible that a means or loophole has been found to clear up the problem. At the moment, I have a few candidate summoning spells in mind, so I would like to discuss these ideas with Lisa.
While I was thinking about this in a daze, I heard a voice in front of me say that they had found a place with just the right size.
"Sanjo, isn't this much space enough?"
"I agree. Then let's make this our training ground."
The space is large enough for about ten people to run around freely. We were lucky to find such a good place not far from the entrance. We each immediately set down our bags in the appropriate places and prepared ourselves.
(I didn't bring anything with me, though. I don't know what to do.)
After watching what they were going to do for a while, they started to split into two groups, led by Kaworu and Pink-chan. The total amount of magic stones was the largest number of participants, and they probably decided that it would not be efficient to move and fight with all of them. I'll just join Kaworu's side.
So, it seems that what they are discussing now is who will play which role. The most difficult role is the shield role, or "tank" role, which takes on the enemy's attacks single-handedly. It is dangerous and burdensome, so it is not surprising that no one wants to play this role.
"But - shouldn't Sanjo and Hayase, who have higher levels, be tanks?"
"That's when that level of wastefulness comes in handy!"
As expected, the girls spearhead the two. Still, in a group with only [Newbie] and basic jobs, it is certainly more stable to have the highest level person tank.
"I understand. But in return, I want you to follow my and Sakura's instructions."
Kaworu and Pink-chan look at each other, nod, and buy the tank. I guess the aim here is to enhance unity even if it means taking on a tough roll. The girls, too, hated the two and were only going to be strangling themselves if they were needlessly defiant. If they did not challenge as a group, it would be difficult for them to even put up a good fight against the higher classes.
(But, well, it depends on how much Satsuki and Tsukishima-kun move.)
As a result, there is no doubt that a good fight, if not a win, would improve the heavy atmosphere in Class E. That is what Satsuki hopes for. In the game, there was a bonus for raising the heroines' favorability ratings if they achieved good results in the inter-class competition. It is conceivable that Tsukishima-kun, who wants to seduce Kaworu for that purpose, may be involved in the game.
On the other hand, I'm not interested in going to a higher class, and there is no heroine I really want to capture, so I'll do as I please.
"Then confirm formation and coordination: ......"
"Out of the way, you outcasts!"
"We're going to use this place, Class D!"
When Pink-chan tries to raise her voice to explain the practice, the D class guys come to the hall in droves. I've seen something like this before. Is it possible that there is a tradition in this school to do this when picking a fight with the lower classes?
The first to take the lead and abuse loudly is ...... Hazama Naka. He and his brother in Sorel are at the top of my punishment list and I'm eagerly awaiting the opportunity to punish them.
'You know, Class E should not use a nice place like this, at least have a little discretion.'
It makes you wonder who they'd rather be practicing to beat."
Are you trying to beat us, even though you're in an inferior class?"
As soon as they came in, the D class members cursed at them as much as they wanted. It was the same situation as the argument between Class C and Class B earlier. The only difference is that everyone in Class E is lying on the ground silently, not complaining. This is probably due to the fact that they have realized the difference in their abilities after the previous incident in the arena.
Tsukishima-kun was also not saying anything even though he was being agitated right in front of me. I thought he might have a short-tempered personality, but he is actually a calm person, isn't he?
However, the D-class members, taking advantage of the fact that we didn't say anything, got carried away and started to provoke us more and more.
"If you want, you can have a game with us D-class guys. Well, ...... we wanted a scullery maid in our third sword club. Blue and pink hair there. If you guys lose, you can do our chores for us."
"Do you really think we can accept such an unreasonable demand?
" Sanjo-san, get behind me!"
With a sneer on his face, Hazama grabs Kaworu and Pink-chan by the arm and tries to pull them closer. The boys around them rebelled and intervened, as if they couldn't stand it any longer. Thanks to this, Pink-chan escaped, but Kaworu, who had no one to protect him, was grabbed by the arm.
(......Oh, by the way. There was a scene like this in Kaworu's individual scenario.)
I recall an event in which Butao was so angry with Hazama, who was trying to make Kaworu into a convenient woman under various pretenses, that he accepted the match on his own accord.
Incidentally, if Kaworu loses this game, she is treated in a bad way and cannot be captured, and the game comes to a bad end. If the "player" wins, he or she gets a tasty bonus, such as an increase in Kaworu's favorability, but Butao, who accepted the match without permission, is designated as a person to watch out for by the class, and becomes an object of hatred.
In other words, whether I win or lose this match, I, Butao, will only lose.
(TL: Fuck the plot( Butao inner monologue))
Tsukishima-kun is looking at me and grinning. Does he think I will act like Butao in the game? If he wants to seduce Kaworu, he should rather stand up to him and protect him in times like this. Looking at her, she's shaking a little after being caught in the arms of Hazama. Maybe she's traumatized by what happened in the arena. It's not surprising since her precious friend was torn to pieces.
(I know, I know. Calm down.)
The Butao in me says, "Save Kaworu!" I take a breath to calm myself down. If a girl is in trouble right in front of me and I don't say a word, it would be the end of a man, wouldn't it? I would be able to handle it, even if the future was not so good for me.
All right, let's do this!
"Oh, you know what? She's doesn't like. ......"
"Don't oink Butao"
I took a step forward and tried to stop him softly, but he didn't hesitate and brought his fist up to my cheek. It was no big deal for me to duck a punch like that, but if I avoided it, it would look suspicious. It seems like it won't do much damage anyway, so I'll just take it.
"Buhiii!"
''SOUTA"
Although it didn't hurt or itch thanks to the big increase in VIT, the momentum carried me away and I was blown away by a few meters. But if my level had been 3 as per the database, the punch would have done quite a bit of damage. He feel no mercy at all.
Until now, he had only used his "Aura" to intimidate the E class, but now he has finally lifted the ban on violence. Depending on the results of the interclass competition, things could get ugly in the classroom.
As I was thinking about what to do, I brushed off the dust and tried to get up, but to my surprise, Kaworu rushed over to me, breaking free of Hazama's hand. Kaworu must be a gentle girl at heart to lend a helping hand to someone she hates so much.
"I'm fine ...I think we should go ......."
"Yes, I see. Let's go, everyone. There's no need to take this ground."
"Wait a minute, cowards, we're not done talking yet!"
As Kaworu urges us to move, Hazama stands in her way, radiating an 《aura》. From the looks of it, he not only wants to get involved, but he may have been instructed to bring the game to a head. The E class is intimidated by such apparent threats, and they all seem to have stiffened and become unable to move. It seems to have been effective to beat me and to have shown violence.
In such a situation, there was a classmate who is going to go somewhere only one person can act so leisurely. It was Tsukishima-kun.
"You! Why are you trying to run away on your own?"
His steps did not stop even after being intimidated again with 《Aura》, and a male student from D class, annoyed, grabbed him by the shoulder. Tsukishima-kun easily avoided the hand that came to catch him and instead grabbed his face and lifted him up.
"Gaaaahhhh!"
"Hey, hey, hey, don't get me wrong. I'm the one who didn't want to do this."
A student in class D who was tightening up with a fair amount of force or letting out a cry of pain and going berserk. All of the D class students were speechless with surprise.
If they were too aggressive in their fight, there was a danger that even the B class students behind them would come out to join the fight. If that happened, it would be impossible to predict what would happen.
Although Class B is positioned inferior to Class A at the moment, it is fair to say that there is almost no difference in their abilities. In particular, Suo, who is leading the B class, is a real force to be reckoned with. He possesses many powerful skills, and his fighting sense is also distinctly different from those of other students. Even now, I would have no chance to win without fully utilizing my game knowledge cheats. Naturally, Tsukishima-kun, the player, must know this.
Besides. Even if Tsukishima-kun had the ability to fight against Class B and Suo, it would be impossible for him to defend all of Class E with Akagi and Kaworu and the rest of the team still undeveloped. If even one of them were to get in where Tsukishima-kun is not, it would be out of our control. Or maybe he has a plan. There he goes.
"Hey, you guys! What the hell are you doing!"
A B class student who happened to be passing by interrupted us with a stern look on his face. He was probably just making excuses, and was probably monitoring nearby to see if what he had instructed the D class to do was being carried out.
He immediately released an "aura" to intimidate them, but it didn't seem to work on Tsukishima-kun either.
(That B class student is probably level 12 to 15. (I wonder if Tsukishima-kun is also at that high a level, or if he is just a skinny kid.)
The D class students were stunned by what was going on. Now is our chance to escape.
"Kaworu, let's follow Tsukishima-kun."
"Oh, ......,Right, let's all go!"
The classmates quickly grab their luggage and run off. Well then, I guess I'll be leaving a ton too. Hazama is shaking with anger and his face is bright red.
"I'll kill you ...... for being in E class!"
The upset Hazama Naka tried to chase after us, but was quickly stopped by a B class student, probably because if the D class went out of control and caused an injury incident, his plan to drive the E class into a corner would go awry and would be hindered.
It's a pity, because I was thinking of giving them a shot if they came after me, but alas.
"I'll give you hell!"
Hazama says, as if he's going to hurl a shower at me. Sorrel, that guy he's always bragging about, might come out as a helper. Tsukishima-kun will be fine, but Kaworu and the others are worried. Let's take at least one defensive measure in case he tries something.
TL Note- People are simping but for wrong people and do I see a pink future here?
I don't like that much of Kaworu, the president of council that the MC talked about seems to be a more interessant ship
