Super Mothership
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Three volleys of missiles were launched simultaneously. Nearly a hundred thousand missiles, each trailing a white plume, streaked toward the Gold Coin Pirates' mech corps, whose formation had already fallen into disorder.
The previous wave of robot forces had plunged the eastern side of the base into chaos. The 50,000 reserve mechs stationed there had been forced to stand by helplessly, with many units already scattered across the base putting out fires. The moment they spotted the enemy mech corps finally revealing itself, they immediately turned to intercept.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
More than seventy percent of the incoming missiles were intercepted before reaching their targets. However, the eastern defensive network had already been battered into near collapse, riddled with gaps and vulnerabilities. The remaining thirty percent slammed into the Gold Coin mechs, causing only limited casualties but throwing their formation into even greater disarray.
"Roar!"
The Ryan warriors let out thunderous battle cries as they charged fearlessly toward an enemy force that vastly outnumbered them.
Nie Yun had appointed Spartacus as legion commander. From the one hundred thousand Ryan warriors, he had personally selected the elite thirty thousand. He also purchased a massive number of the Bronze Mechs, the model they were most familiar with, allowing them to achieve combat readiness in the shortest time possible. Together, they became the backbone of the Ghost Pirates' mech forces.
To commemorate that fateful encounter and express his gratitude, Spartacus named this Ryan mech legion...
"Hammer of Destruction!"
The Mechanical Bugs: "..."
These warriors, once nothing more than expendable cannon fodder for the Locke Consortium, had undergone a magnificent transformation into pirate mech soldiers.
No longer did they fight in humiliation merely for the survival of their race.
Now, they fought for a belief they truly embraced.
They enjoyed better treatment.
The one hundred thousand Ryan civilians rescued alongside them had all been properly settled. The pirate crew provided them with warm homes and ample food.
Never again would they have to endure starvation or live in constant fear of savage beasts.
They were also equipped with far superior weapons—not worn-out secondhand equipment, but brand-new mechs with abundant energy supplies and ammunition.
They even had warships of their own.
These reborn Ryan people had also received a new identity.
They were no longer called "slaves" or "vassal races."
They were now...
"Pirate Mercenaries!"
Every month they received salaries.
The pirate crew even provided comprehensive employee benefits and social insurance.
Any warrior who lost a limb in battle was considered to have suffered a work-related injury and could receive free treatment in a medical pod to restore their body completely.
Those who died in battle were given generous death benefits, while their families also received twenty percent of the spoils of war as a performance bonus.
Even the women and children had been enrolled in specially established schools, where they learned the knowledge of interstellar civilization and became the torchbearers of civilization.
Whenever Spartacus thought of Qiqi's bright smile in the classroom, or the awkward-looking older scholar Sura sitting among the students, a gentle smile couldn't help but appear on his face.
But that warmth quickly faded.
In its place came unwavering determination and murderous resolve.
"Charge with me! The blood and thunder of the battlefield shall grant us strength and glory! For the Ryan!"
"ROAR! FOR THE RYAN!"
Inside the Gold Coin Pirates' command center...
"Uh... Boss... those mechs... they look like the ones we sold..." one subordinate said hesitantly as he watched the incoming tide of enemy mechs.
Gold Dagger looked more closely, and his expression instantly froze.
The Bronze Mech was the most common entry-level mech in the Wolf Empire.
Thanks to its excellent cost-effectiveness and easy maintenance, it had held the title of "Wolf Empire's Best-Selling Mech" for many consecutive years.
Even on the black market, Bronze Mechs were the highest-volume commodity due to their availability, affordability, and dependable performance.
They were practically the Wolf Empire's equivalent of the AK series.
Just as more than ninety percent of the AK-47s on Earth were knockoffs, the Bronze Mech had likewise become the favorite target of imitation by countless private arms manufacturers.
The Gold Coin Pirates sold exactly such a self-produced imitation Bronze Mech.
They used them themselves while also selling them in large quantities, making them one of the pirate group's largest sources of income.
The surveillance footage clearly revealed numerous subtle features unique to the Gold Coin Pirates' imitation models.
Some of the mechs hadn't even bothered removing the Gold Coin Pirates' trademark.
In fact...
Those mechs really were products they had sold recently.
Gold Dagger himself had personally sold them to the Ghost Pirates.
Over twenty thousand of them had only recently been delivered.
The buyers had even left them a five-star review.
But if Gold Dagger remembered correctly...
He had only received the down payment.
The remaining balance had never been paid.
And just yesterday, Gold Fang had purchased nearly one hundred million worth of supplies from him.
This time he hadn't even bothered paying a deposit.
He had simply financed the purchase with collateral.
Judging by today's aggressive smash-and-grab operation...
That money was probably...
Maybe...
Most likely...
Never coming back.
As the realization slowly sank in, Gold Dagger's expression shifted from stunned...
...to utter disbelief...
...to overwhelming rage.
Finally, he couldn't hold it in any longer and spat out a mouthful of blood.
"Ghost Captain! You... you've gone too far!"
Using money borrowed on credit to buy weapons...
Then immediately turning those newly purchased weapons against the very creditor who sold them?
What kind of outrageous move was that?
The Ghost Pirates had clearly planned on "if the creditor dies, the debt disappears."
Most people unable to repay their debts chose to end themselves.
But these guys...
They chose to eliminate the creditor instead.
The most tragic part was...
That creditor was him.
He had even personally handed them the gun.
They were treating Gold Dagger like a complete idiot!
This Ghost Captain was the darkest of black-hearted pirates.
Gold Dagger had been in the arms business for years, yet he had never encountered such a vicious and shameless buyer.
How could someone be this utterly shameless?
Where had all the Mechanical Race's honesty and simplicity gone?
Their evil stat had long since broken the meter!
They had only become pirates for such a short time, yet they already had absolutely no bottom line.
Perhaps this really was the Mechanical Race's racial talent...
Learning Speed Bonus, indeed.
"Those damned bastards! Pull every available unit we have! Wipe every last one of them out!" Gold Dagger roared.
The surrounding Gold Coin Pirates looked utterly baffled.
They couldn't understand why their boss had exploded in anger just because someone remarked that "those mechs seem to be the ones we sold."
Wasn't it simply aiding the enemy?
One side was willing to buy, the other was willing to sell.
That was the very business the Gold Coin Pirates were in.
What they didn't know was...
Selling weapons to the enemy wasn't the real problem.
The real problem was that the enemy had gotten them for free.
And after freeloading, they were now trying to kill the creditor and erase all evidence.
Anyone in Gold Dagger's position would have exploded with rage.
TL Note- No proof....
