☆World Setting

Japan or the world where Sota Narumi lives.

　

　Japan avoided the quagmire of World War II with the advent of dungeons. The prewar political system remains intact, with conglomerates and aristocrats in power.

　

　The security situation is not as good as in modern Japan, as the adventurer aristocracy and the traditional aristocracy are repeatedly at war with each other. In the world, adventurers are involved in terrorism and crime, causing serious social unrest and confusion.

　

　Countries around the world are devoting their efforts to training adventurers and collecting information related to adventurers.

☆Adventurers

　

　A generic term for anyone who enters a dungeon.

　

　The term is used to refer to those who have completed a course of study and passed an examination to obtain permission to enter a dungeon. The exception to this rule is for students of the junior high school for adventurers.

　

　In the dungeons, it is compulsory to wear a special terminal on the arm. The device is equipped with identification, chat, phone, MAP viewing, and GPS functions. The Adventurer's School arm terminal has a variety of other additional functions.

　

　By defeating monsters in the dungeon and leveling up, one can gain powers beyond the reach of ordinary people. Most adventurers, however, are at level 4 or below.

☆Adventurer School

　

　An educational institution for training adventurers that is the pride of Japan.

　

　The middle school is based on a recommendation system that selects promising students and grants them admission.

　

　Only one class of students is accepted from the upper secondary school. However, the admission rate is extremely high, more than 100 times higher than that of the other schools.

　

　The upper secondary school has classes from A to E, and students are divided into classes according to their grades. Outside students start in class E.

　

　Only those who graduate in Class A can enter the Adventurer's College. They are trained as candidates for bureaucratic positions.

☆Adventurers' Guild

　

　It manages all adventurers and dungeons in Japan, deals with problems between adventurers and clans, and trades magic stones and dungeon materials.

　

　The headquarters is located in a large building adjacent to the Adventurers' School.

　

　Inside, in addition to the Adventurers' Guild, there are private stores, lodging, a public library, medical facilities, and other facilities, making it a complex building.

☆Dungeon

　

　A gateway to another world suddenly appeared in a world that closely resembles the earth in the early 20th century. The dungeons are filled with creatures that do not exist on earth.

　

　There is only one dungeon in Japan, but there are more than a dozen dungeons in the world.

　

　When you defeat a monster, it drops a magic stone, and if you defeat a certain number of monsters, your level rises. The more levels you gain, the stronger your body becomes and the more superhuman powers, magic and skills you gain.

　

　Demon stones are also an energy resource, and have greatly changed the energy situation in Japan.

　

　In the world, there have been numerous conflicts between nations over the ownership of dungeons.

☆Clan

　

　A group or organization created by adventurers with a purpose. The definition of "group" is broad, ranging from large-scale strategy clans that aim to conquer the front lines of dungeons, to clans that gather under the same ideology, to clans that are created for leisure or as a circle of friends.

　

　There are various clans not only in Japan but also in the world.

　　

　☆　The Colors

　　　

　　　The clan leader is Tasato Kotaro.

　　　

　　　It is the most active strategy clan in Japan. Currently, 128 members are enrolled in Colors.

　　　

　　　There are five subordinate organizations, each using its own color as the clan's flag and competing for promotion to the Colors. If all the subordinate organizations are included, the clan has more than 1,000 members.

　　

　☆　Sorrel

　　　

　　　The tertiary organization of the Colors. A subordinate organization of the secondary organization "Kinran-kai".

　　　

　　　A clan that has a history with the Narumi siblings.

　　

　☆　Kunoichi Red

　　　

　　　The clan leader is Mikami  Haruka. She is also active in the entertainment industry.

　　　

　　　The clan is made up of only female "thief" and the red, revealing ninja suit is the designated uniform of the clan.

　　　

　　　They are very conservative, respecting their family and traditions.

　　　

　　　They are also deeply involved in espionage and the management of the Adventurers' Guild.

　　　

　　　Kusunomou also belongs to the clan.

☆　　Ten Rakshasha Sects

　　　

　　　The clan leader is Kaede Takamura. She is the flag bearer of the new nobility.

　　　

　　　It is also an ultra-martialist clan with constant struggles among the nobles.

　　　

　　　It is composed of ten executives and ten organizations. It is the largest in Japan.

☆ Saint Women's Organization

　

　An institution to protect the only one [saint] in the country.

　

　It is also an organization that protects and trains healers.

　

　It possesses various concealment techniques and information, and has great influence not only in the adventurer community, but also in political and business circles.

　

　Sera Kikyo also belongs to this organization.

☆ Players

　

　Dungeon Explorer Chronicle, a dungeon romance VRMMO. Commonly known as "Dun-Ex".

　

　In order to get to the world where Sota lives, he needs to win the "right to participate in the next large-scale update testers" which is extremely difficult.

　

　As of chapter 70, only three players are known: Sota Narumi, Risa Nitta, and Takuya Tsukishima.

　

☆Job

　

　By working in a specific job and earning experience, job levels increase and corresponding skills can be acquired. Basically, at level 1, the job level is [Newbie].

☆ Initial Job

　

　A job when nothing has been changed. Basically, it is [Newbie] at level 1.

☆ Basic job

　

　A job can be changed from the initial job at level 5 or higher. In some cases, this job is the first job. There are only the following three jobs.

Fighter, Caster, and Thief.

☆ Intermediate Job

　

　A job that can be taken after raising the job level of the basic job above a certain level. （Jobs in parentheses ( ) are undisclosed jobs.

☆ Advanced Job

　

　Raising several job levels of medium-level jobs, corresponding job change items, and a certain level of status aptitude are required.

☆ Highest Level Job

　

　Final job. The corresponding advanced job must be canned and a special quest must be completed. Weapon Master was used by Sota and Dark Knight by Lisa in the game.

☆ Skill

　

　Skills can be learned by taking a job and raising the job level.

　

　Some skills can be learned by completing special quests or using scroll items.

☆ Skill Activation Method

　

　There are two types of activation: "auto activation," which is triggered by simply thinking about it, and "manual activation," which is triggered by performing the corresponding magic circle or skill motion. The latter has the advantage of a shorter cool time before reuse and slightly higher power.

　

　Players can also use "manual activation" to exercise skills that were learned by characters in the Dun-Ex era. However, there are few skills that can be used properly at low levels.

　

　Risa Nitta discovered a new manual activation that is activated by manipulating the flow of 《Aura》 inside the body.

☆ Extra Skills

　

　Skills that can be acquired by completing a special quest on the 40th floor after reaching the highest job level of an advanced job or above. There are many powerful skills.

　

　In Sota's world, the existence of these skills is unknown.
