The beast tamer exiled from the hero’s party and the cat eared girl from the strongest race meet
My body was in tatters.
Even moving a fingertip sent intense pain through my whole body.
I didn’t have enough blood left.
My vision blurred, and my consciousness wavered.
But none of that mattered.
Right now, I was standing.
Standing by my own will, with a weapon in my hand.
In that case, there was only one thing left to do.
“Yuki!”
“Yeah!”
Yuki and I kicked off the ground at the same time, rushing forward.
We split left and right, charging in to flank Altera.
“Ugh, you’re so annoying! Just hurry up and die already!”
Altera swung both arms in irritation, and blazing flames tore across the ground.
“If you show it to us so many times, something like that—!”
Altera’s fire was terrifying in power and extremely fast—
but still only fast.
It didn’t track.
Watching the timing of the flames running along the ground, I jumped diagonally forward.
The blaze passed right beside me.
My skin sizzled lightly, but that was nothing.
“What!?”
Yuki dodged in the same style as me.
Yeah… maybe we really were similar.
“Don’t get carried away!”
To stop our advance, Altera created a massive flaming tornado.
It filled the entire field of view, an enormous wall of fire.
Normally, there would be no way to dodge something like that.
So we wouldn’t dodge.
“Yuki!”
“Yeah!”
He understood me with just a look, moving in front of me.
We really did feel like long-time partners.
“Second Sword… Divine Moon!!!”
Yuki's massive sword technique stabbed into the flaming tornado.
The force was incredible—just for a moment, the tornado lost stability and wavered.
I didn’t miss that moment.
“Ignition! Go!!!”
I used the remaining cartridges without hesitation, blasting the tornado apart with a massive strike.
“What!?”
Altera hadn’t expected us to break through.
She tried to move into her next attack—but too slow!
“First Sword… Snow Moon Flower!!!”
Yuki dove in first.
He unleashed an ultra-fast flurry of strikes, cutting Altera from every angle.
Engulfed in the storm of blades, Altera could only raise her hands and turtle up defensively.
“Th-This…! For some mere humans to do this to me…!”
“It’s not over yet!”
“!?”
Now it was my turn.
“Magic Eye, activate!”
“What—!? Ah…!”
The Magic Eye I gained through my contract with Rifa didn’t work well on stronger enemies…
but Altera was shaken—this time it worked.
Her movements became stiff and clumsy.
“Summon! And—gravity control!”
Using the power from my contract with Iris, I summoned every weapon I could and hurled them.
Then, with the gravity manipulation granted by Tina, I accelerated them to their limit—
A storm of weapons rained down on Altera.
“Gah—!?”
She fell to one knee, stunned, as if unable to believe she had been forced down.
“For me—me!—to be brought low by humans like you…! Unforgivable, unforgivable, unforgivable! I’ll burn everything—burn you all alive!!!”
“Before that…”
“It’s still our turn!!!”
“Wha—!?”
Yuki sheathed his sword and lowered his body deeply into a stance.
I switched Kusanagi to my left hand, Kamui to my right, and loaded the spare cartridges.
“Third Sword… Lotus Blossom!!!”
With explosive acceleration, Yuki charged and struck.
His ultra-fast drawing technique—
his trump card.
“I’ll give you everything at once! Ignition!!!”
Kusanagi shone with immense light.
I shifted into Second Form instantly.
Then I wrapped Kamui in twelve blades—
“Third Form—take THIS!!!”
I slashed horizontally with a blade of light—
then vertically with another.
Shattering everything.
Cutting through everything.
First came a blinding flash.
Next came shockwaves and a raging windstorm.
Finally, the earth shook—
and everything ended.
A consecutive assault of my and Yuki’s trump cards.
If even this didn’t work, then…
“…You… miserable humans!!!”
Altera was—
still standing.
