Chapter 369: Counterattack Begins

The jet-black doll let out a scream that was beyond words.

It was an unpleasant sound, like nails scratching against a mirror.

With both fists clenched together, it struck the ground.

No, this is...!

"Everyone, be careful! It's coming from below!"

Sensing something was wrong, I quickly jumped sideways from my spot. 

Just a moment later, with a *thud*, countless black spears burst through the ground.

"Meowph! This much... nya!? My tail got nicked!?"

"Hey, be more careful. If your tail gets cut off, Kanade, you lose your most distinctive feature."

"I still have my ears, don't I!? And besides, it wasn't cut off!"

Kanade and Tania were exchanging lighthearted banter. 

It seemed they managed to avoid the attack with relative ease.

Sora, Luna, and Iris took to the air using magic.

Nina carried Tina on her head and used spatial teleportation.

Rifa transformed into a bat, each of them avoiding the attack in their own way.

"......!!!"

"Damn, this is...!?"

The jet-black doll howled again with a voiceless scream.

In response, black spears kept sprouting from the ground, over and over again.

It was like a forest of swords from hell.

"We can't get too close to that..."

"If that's the case, then here..."

"Leave it to Sora and the others."

"We shall clear a path for you."

"Hey, that's my line!"

Sora, Luna, and Iris stepped forward.

"‘Dragoon Howling!!’"

"Come forth, flames of another world."

The jet-black doll was still standing.

Next, Tina and Rifa stepped forward.

"Rifa, here we go!"

Tina generated a bat of light using her magic, while Rifa conjured bullets of blood.

Rifa lightly tossed the blood bullets in front of Tina.

"Another home run swing!!!"

With a resounding *clang*, Tina swung her bat.

It was such a reckless attack that it left one stunned in disbelief.

Their magic combined perfectly, producing tremendous power.

The blood bullet struck by the bat shattered the black spears and continued to pierce through, embedding itself in the jet-black doll's abdomen.

"Raaahhhh!!!"

"Take that, take that, take that!"

Tina swung her bat wildly...

While Rifa repeatedly tossed the blood bullets.

Could such an attack even be allowed...?

"......!!!"

The jet-black doll, having taken Tina and Rifa's combined attack, staggered and took a step back.

However, it still wasn’t enough to deliver a fatal blow.

Not willing to be defeated, it howled and this time produced black arrows from within.

It fired them all at once, aiming at Tina and Rifa.

Rifa, Sora, and Luna intercepted the black arrows.
