Chapter 2-Request to Cleo.

"Liliana. Long time no see ......"(Cleo)

"Yes, it's been a long time. It seems you've been spending a lot of free time over there."(Liliana)

"Ha-ha-ha. I've been through a lot, though, haven't I?"(Cleo)

"Yes. Aruna has already informed me of the situation."(Liliana)

　Liliana responded to my words with a sip of tea.

　There is a peculiar tension in the common room of the inn. The innkeeper must not have been happy to see the princess visiting on her own.

　The room was naturally cleared of people, and now there were only three people in the room: me, Liliana, and Aruna. The employee who prepared the tea also left before I knew it.

"By the way, what's the symbolism? What kind of a joke is this?"(Cleo)

　Conversation with a childhood friend whom one hasn't seen in a long time somehow turns grave.

　When I asked her a question, she paused for a moment and then replied, 

"As Aruna reported, we are in a bit of trouble."(Liliana)

"Trouble ......?"(Cleo)

　When I nodded my head in confusion, Liliana continues.

"Yes, Cleo has met her, too, don't you have a inking? The red-eyed race--"(Liliana)

　And then she said.

"the demons, as we call them."(Liliana)

the inn is awfully quiet.

　The sun was beginning to set.

　Keane had something he wanted to discuss with Cleo and was on his way to the inn.

　Soon after his arrival, he noticed that the place, where many travelers usually come and go, was so deserted.

　When he went in through the entrance, no one was there.

　Keane thought that he was being careless, and headed for the common room.

He went to the common room 

 "Hmmm?"

　As I did so, I heard talking.

　I hid myself and peeked in, and there, besides Cleo and Aruna, I saw a girl with peach-colored hair.

"Who is that girl, ......?"(Keane)

　A person I don't recognize.

　However, I could tell from the clothes she was wearing that she was a nobleman.

　Was it a friend from Cleo's school days who came to see her, as was the case with Marin?

"Does this mean that a demon is ...... hiding in the royal castle?"(Cleo)

　That's what I was thinking.

　Cleo said this in a serious tone of voice.

　Keane's long ears twitched and he listened softly.

"Yes, that's right. My father and I have been investigating in secret, and we have already discovered some traces of magic that we think belong to the demon tribe."(Liliana)

"So you're saying that the demons are already operating inside the royal castle ......?"(Cleo)

"Yes. I don't want to make a big deal out of it and alert them, so I've only told the oldest of the vassals, but as it stands now, it's a toss-up."(Liliana)

　The girl's manner of speaking makes Keane feel just a little uncomfortable.

　If she could talk like this, it meant that she was of royalty. If so, it would be impossible for her to go out without a single escort.

　However, if she hid her identity, it might not be so strange.

　And then there was Cleo and Aruna.

　How safe would it be to stay by their side in this royal city?

　Keane knew this very well.

"So, what does Liliana want from me?"(Cleo)

　As I think about this, Cleo asks the girl - Liliana.

　She takes a deep breath and then says, 

"I have one favor to ask of you—"(Liliana)

　In a serious tone of voice.

"Cleo, I want you to save this country."(Liliana)

　Cleo is not the only one.

　Keane, who had been listening from the shadows, was also surprised by her words.

TL Note- Wasn't this supposed to be Keane's arc why did it turned out to be Liliana? And we are stopping  the releases of this series and putting it on hold.
