Super Mothership
Rose watched the small spaceship slowly fly away. In the end, she couldn’t hold back her curiosity and asked, “Can you tell me why you built something like this?”
“Military secret. No comment!” The Magic Sword refused bluntly.
Although she wasn’t surprised, Rose still felt a little unwilling. After all, it was related to that man who defeated her bare-handed…
She just couldn’t figure it out. That man was already so strong—why would he need to create a clone of himself?
Her instincts told her there must be an important secret of the Unity Society hidden behind this.
“If I wanted to buy this secret, how many Infinite Coins would it cost?” Rose tried asking.
After dealing with the Magic Sword for so long, Rose had more or less figured out its temperament.
Sure enough, in the next moment…
“Since you’re so sincerely curious, I’ll give you a discount—850,000 Infinite Coins!” The Magic Sword immediately put on its sly merchant face, charging in its usual style.
Hearing that number, Rose’s face instantly darkened. She glanced at her personal terminal—sure enough… Balance: 850,000 Infinite Coins…
Most of the settlement funds Nie Yun had provided earlier had already been allocated to the newly established administration for purchasing essential survival and development materials. Rose really only had this much left on hand.
Spend everything she had just to satisfy her curiosity? Rose thought she wasn’t that much of a spendthrift yet.
Temporarily extinguishing the thought of prying into secrets, Rose asked again, “Then can you at least tell me what position that man holds in the organization?
If it weren’t for him, the Kara Civilization might have been completely wiped out. I’d like to find a chance to properly thank him.”
Rose’s tone was sincere—her gratitude toward that man was not fake.
“His identity? Hmm… If I have to say it, you can call him… the President! Hehe!”
The Magic Sword chuckled as it spoke, then the red glow in its eyes dimmed. Clearly, it had gone “offline.”
The President?
The President of the Unity Society?!
Rose’s eyes widened in shock. That man… was actually the ultimate big boss behind the scenes?!
“Fallen Angel,” Commander's Resting Room.
“That queen sure asks a lot of questions!” Nie Yun muttered, curling his lips.
“Obviously, this is a case of a woman becoming curious about a man…” the AI codenamed Codename commented in a flat, emotionless tone.
That didn’t sound wrong… but why did it feel so weird?
“What are you trying to say?” Nie Yun asked, giving it a sideways glance.
“Just a suggestion! Based on my compiled ‘Strategy Guide,’ in this situation, you could trigger an ‘accidental encounter’ event. There’s a 90% probability it would directly increase her favorability toward you.
Based on my simulations, the target lifeform has a high evolutionary tier and subconsciously holds a special fondness for strong males. Given your own conditions, it would take roughly one month to raise her favorability to over 90%, after which you could proceed to the… enjoyable stage…”
Nie Yun: “…”
Mechanical Bug: “…” (lll¬ω¬)
Nie Yun’s expression turned strange. Seeing this, Codename sensed the captain wasn’t very satisfied with its suggestion, so it continued…
“Of course, if the Captain finds this ‘normal route’ too time-consuming, I strongly recommend choosing an alternate Supreme ‘Dark Route!’
Given your power level and your absolute control over the Kara Civilization, whether through leveraging gratitude, coercion, or intimidation, the probability of immediate compliance from the target is—”
“Stop, stop, stop!” Nie Yun interrupted hastily, sweating buckets, cutting off Codename’s R-rated description.
“One suggestion” wasn’t enough—now there was a “strong recommendation”? Couldn’t this thing put its computing power into coming up with some proper, normal advice?
Don’t make me reboot you, you damn thing!
Maybe it really was time to restrict Codename’s access to online reading material…
Data streams flashed in Codename’s eyes, then it suddenly froze.
“Captain, I’ve just discovered I can’t access part of the network. Requesting technical support!”
“No need for support. I just found a bug in you and patched it. That’s normal.” Nie Yun replied calmly.
“What bug?” Codename sounded quite puzzled.
She herself was an advanced artificial intelligence—what kind of bug could possibly hide from her detection? This… needed to be taken seriously!
“Let me ask you, are you eighteen years old yet?”
“According to human calculations, I still need seventeen years, six months, and five days to reach eighteen.”
“Exactly! So then, can you look at 18+ content?” Nie Yun said with an expression that suggested this was completely reasonable.
Codename: “…”
After lecturing his troublesome “daughter” like a nagging mother, Nie Yun pulled up a video feed.
It was the footage of Rose hugging her knees and crying earlier.
“Click!” The frame froze at the exact moment when Rose lifted her head, tears glistening like pear blossoms in the rain.
“…Hmm. The expression is sincere, the eyes are genuine—not like she’s faking it…” Nie Yun muttered under his breath.
Codename glanced at Rose on the screen, then at Nie Yun, who was now deep in thought.
“What are you looking at?” she couldn’t help but ask.
“A person’s character.” Nie Yun smiled.
“You can tell a person’s character just by watching them cry?” Codename sounded amazed.
“Of course! A king who knows how to cry is far easier to deal with than a king who doesn’t, hehe…” Nie Yun chuckled.
Being able to cry meant the heart was still soft—hadn’t yet been hardened into stone by power and status!
Rose didn’t know that because of this uncontrollable display of emotion, Nie Yun now held her in even higher regard…
Closing the video, Nie Yun said to Codename, “For Arthas’ clone, have Elder Yu arrange for Earth’s top biologists to conduct the final checks. We must make sure it won’t trigger the Gemini’s biological recognition system!”
“Understood!”
“By the way, where are Isabela and the Gemini fleet now?”
“They’ve withdrawn from the wormhole area and are returning to the second planet,” Codename replied.
After both sides declared a ceasefire, the Gemini fleet left only a few reconnaissance ships to monitor Nie Yun’s troop movements, while Isabela led the rest of the fleet back to the second planet’s main base for repairs.
This time, the Pioneer Legion had suffered devastating losses—not only had their fleet been reduced by nearly half, but almost all their mechs and ship-mounted weapons were wiped out.
According to Isabela’s estimates, it would take at least another week to replenish weapons and restore combat readiness.
Until then, they could only rely on the second planet’s extensive fortifications and switch to a defensive strategy.
“Since they’ve already withdrawn beyond the alert range, start connecting the Mithril Fleet to the Immortal!”
“Affirmative! Docking preparations underway!”
Wormhole Region
Under Codename’s control, the combined fleet with the Sea Wolf as its core maintained a pentagram formation and slowly approached the Immortal’s root structure.
“Ssshh~” The auxiliary thrusters fired rhythmically, adjusting the fleet’s position and orientation.
The Immortal’s roots extended upward, their tendrils—now greatly shortened and degenerated—reaching out to coil around the ships.
“Boom!” A faint shudder followed as the gap between the two sides completely closed, making it look as though a massive Immortal had stepped onto a fiery wind wheel.
Immediately afterward, swarms of mechanical bugs poured into the Immortal through its circulation and supply systems.
The Immortal’s earlier mechanization had only been a temporary fix—brutal, crude, and made mostly from common construction materials.
As the “guardian beast” guarding the solar system’s gateway, fully mithrilizing it and boosting its combat power had long been part of Nie Yun’s development plan.
According to the design, once the mithril upgrade was complete, the Immortal would carry 3,000 mechs, feature a super-powerful computational core, dock with five escort ships, and deliver double the previous energy output and instant firepower!
And from then on, its combat strength would only continue to grow.
The Immortal didn’t just have an independent ecosystem capable of sustaining vast numbers of lifeforms—it could also evolve over time, while the mechanical bugs could “update online” with Nie Yun’s cutting-edge weapon technologies at any moment.
This was a super mothership that could keep evolving indefinitely!
