Chapter 74-Interclass competition

Before 10:00 a.m., the Adventurer's Plaza was packed with adventurers who were about to enter the dungeon. It could be said that this was the dungeon version of the commuter rush.

　Some clan members were walking around flaunting their shiny equipment, merchants selling food and magical tools were shouting, and small trucks with piles of goods were lined up to create a traffic jam. It was interesting just to look at them.

　After a few minutes of walking through the crowd, they arrived at the meeting place where their classmates were waiting for them. Lisa and Satsuki had something to do, so they split up on the spot, leaving me alone with nothing to do but stare at the surroundings.

　The students in classes C and above are in separate classrooms and have separate classes, and even in the dungeon, they are in different hunting grounds, so they have little contact with each other. They are interested in the first time they see such weapons.

　I followed their gazes and found that the B class group had gathered there. 　And students who look like aristocrats wear a lot of jewelry on their wrists and ears. These are probably all magic items. 　Next to the B class group, the D class group can be seen. Although most of the students are wearing armor made of demon wolf leather, there are some heavy mithril alloy weapons here and there, including Kariya's. In other words, they are all above level 10. 

　The D class and our E class have a hostile relationship, and if they were to run into each other in the dungeon, chaos would ensue. I hope that Satsuki and Lisa will be able to respond quickly and secretly if any of our classmates are in danger.

　

　A short distance away from the dungeon, C class students were forming a circle. At the center of the circle was Takamura-kun, the leader of Class C, wearing Japanese-style armor, and his attendant, the cute Odeko-chan.

　Unlike the B class, most of the C class members are from the commoner's background. In this sense, the difference in equipment is apparent. Takamura-kun, who speaks to such commoners without hesitation, may be an irregular existence among the nobles.

However, they are also elite oriented with an emphasis on status and strength, and are not necessarily accepting of outside students, the E class. We must be cautious when making contact with them.

　Suddenly, there was a buzz in the air as I thought of this.

　The first to walk in the lead is  Sera Kikyo, the first student of the first year, the next student body president, and my favorite heroine. She is walking slowly and gracefully, her large, clear violet eyes shining and her long, lustrous, silver hair almost down to her waist swaying. She is not wearing any protective gear and is still in her uniform. I guess it's not something she shows to people.

　Her good looks made her one of the most popular Dun-Ex heroines, but in reality her beauty far surpasses that of the game. Her beauty naturally attracts the attention of the boys, and the girls are beyond jealous and look at her with envy. In fact, even the adventurers around her stopped to admire her.

　The aristocrats and samurai families follow close behind. Ms. Sera's family is a high ranking noble family with a long history, and because of her position close to the [saint], there are a lot of nobles and samurai in the branch families. The level of equipment is not so different from that of the B class, but there are a few students wearing miko-like costumes.

　Behind the A class group led by Sera Tenma, who had approached me some time ago, was walking briskly with a large two-handed axe in her hand. Her family has not been a noble for very long and has no samurai under her command, but I guess there are "black butlers" or black-clad stewards waiting for her in the dungeon instead.

　Class A is not an easy opponent to defeat while taking on other classes. In that sense, there is a chance for the C class if they can successfully catch up with the other classes.

　Well, it's not for me to worry about what the top classes are doing, but I can't help but look at it from a player's point of view. The teachers are starting to make their moves.

The class competition will now begin. Participants in the "depth of attainment" class, please move to the front.

　A stern man with a loudspeaker raises his voice toward us. Was that the acting president of the university? I've never seen the president of the university, including during the game days, but I wonder what kind of person he is.

But then, Sera Kikyo, a monster who surpassed him in talent, popularity, and pedigree, stood in his way.
