-- Naoto Tachiki Viewpoint

It's already been about two weeks since the entrance ceremony, and things have finally settled down in this E class. During break time, there is inevitably a lot of talk about dungeons, as only an adventurer school can.

"We got through the goblin.

"We're going to the second floor with a party, let me know if you want to go!

The boys talking now  by the window seem to be circling the second floor, gesturing to the girls about their heroics against the goblins. The goblins are only as strong as a child with a blunt weapon, but if they hit you in the wrong place, you can get hurt badly, and a goblin chief who attacks with a metal weapon is a powerful enemy. In addition, since goblins are humanoid, many adventurers are reluctant to kill them, making them a touchstone monster to see if you can overcome them.

For beginners to dungeon diving, it is recommended to go around the second floor to get used to fighting monsters and moving around in the dungeon. If you want to be on the safe side, you can go around the first floor, but it's hard to say that it will be an experience since there are only slimes that anyone can beat. That's why all of my classmates skip the first floor and go for the second floor.

Many of my classmates are competing to level up and dive every day. This is because everyone who joins this school has the goal of getting into Class A.

At this point, however, I think our party is the only one standing at the forefront. In just ten days, Yuma, Kaworu, Sakurako, and I have reached level three, and we are able to go around the third floor to hunt orcs and goblin mages. I guess it's time to go to the fourth floor. I'm not going to keep running and stopping.

It doesn't matter how good you are at this school, it's hard to climb up on your own. Good friends are essential for leveling up and conquering dungeons. The only way to get promoted to Class A is to find the best friends as soon as possible.

In this respect, it was fortunate that I was roommates with the incredibly talented Yuma, and perhaps even more fortunate that I was able to form a party with the beautiful and talented Sakurako and Kaworu.

The quantity, accuracy, and speed of the information was also important. What kind of students are there and how good are they? In addition, information on dungeon diving strategies is also essential. I know that unexpected information can be hidden in the casual conversations of classmates. And I am able to get this information thanks to my "enhanced hearing" skill.

It's a directional skill that allows me to aim in a specific direction and listen without anyone noticing, even in classrooms where sound sources are scattered randomly. Thanks to this skill, I was able to get through some of the entrance exams and interviews at the adventurer school. My theory is that even if it's cheating, if you can make use of it, you should use it.

"I bought this sword, it cost a lot.

"DUX, wow!"

A student in the back of the classroom pulls out a Japanese sword wrapped in a cloth bag, DUX is a famous brand of armor among adventurers, and although it is a bit expensive, it is also a manufacturer that develops its own armor and is trusted by many users.

Weapons are the life of an adventurer. If you're not willing to rent a weapon, you'll always be at the bottom of the heap. I have a magic wand that has been in my family since my grandfather. From this point as well, it has an advantage from the starting point.

...... By the way, I feel like a bat-armed idiot was in this class. As I try to remember who I was, the girls surrounding Yuma make a yellow voice in the center of the classroom.

(TL: Ouch for Sota)

"Yuma, do you want to go to the dungeon with us sometime?

"Oh, that's so cool. I was going to invite you too.

He has a neat face that even I, as a man, can't help but admire, and his gentlemanly attitude toward everyone makes his charisma stand out even more. He also has the talent to be an adventurer, so the saying "Heaven does not give two things" is probably just a joke.

"In comparison to Yuma, that piggybacker is ......

"I don't want to team up with that thing even if it's my duty.

"It's amazing that he  can't even beat a slime.

Butao ...... Oh, you mean that fat guy at the very back of the classroom? I'm not sure if it's true or not, but a bad rumor is spreading that he lost to a slime, and now he can't even form a good party.

If I can't form a party with anyone in the future, I won't be able to conquer dungeons, and it will be difficult to raise my level. Even if you try to defeat monsters of the "same strength," which is a good way to gain experience, there is no way you can keep defeating them solo without getting hurt, and even if you defeat lower-ranked monsters, you will only gain a small amount of experience. In addition, there is no one to help you in an emergency. History has proven that solo dives are unstable and do not last long.

(There will be a class competition soon. I hope he would not  be dragging our feet. ......)

The girls were talking so loudly that Butao had tears in the corners of his eyes and was shrinking his big, useless body sideways as much as he could.

"Naru~mi~kun!"

"Oh, Omiya-san, ......."

"Don't be depressed. Don't be discouraged. If you don't have anyone to team up with, we'll do it for you.

"Thank you, Arata-san but I'm fine for now.

Omiya, with her gentle voice, and Nitta, with her ...... intellectual look, are the ones I'm personally interested in. I'm pretty sure they teamed up with him at the orientation, too. Perhaps he has a gentle personality that can't be left out of the group.

The majority of the grades at this school are based on academics, dungeon conquests, and other things that are graded individually, but there are also class competitions and other things that add up to a class grade, so I don't want any dropouts if I can help it. I was thinking of bailing out Butao if he was forced to dive solo and dragged the class down, but if Omiya and the others are going to do it, I guess I can leave it to them. I don't have that much time to spare either.

I don't know if he was feeling uncomfortable, but Butao said, "I'm going to the bathroom," and hurriedly left the classroom. Then Kaworu got up and went to Omiya.

"...... Um, Omiya-san."

"Oh, it's Hayase-san, right? What's wrong?"

I tended to look down and tried to say something, but I wondered if I made up my mind and stared at the other person's eyes and cut out the story.

"You should not get too close to ...... Narumi Sota."

"Well, why is that?"

"Because ...... he's not a very nice person. That's my advice."

By the way, you know Butao and Kaworu, don't you? I remember being surprised to see him when I went to pick him up at his house. I thought they were close friends, but apparently there was a rift.

"But I appreciate Narumi-kun."

"I have the same opinion as Satsuki? I still have the eyes to see people. Thank you for your advice."

"..."

I thought that Kaworu's words would make them distance themselves from Butao, but Omiya and Nitta rejected her advice without hesitation. Kaworu is also frustrated with the unexpected reply.

"...... Yes. But I did give you my advice."

(TL:Comment R.I.P for Kaworu)

After  telling  that at the end, Kaworu looks a little lonely and returns to her seat.

Hmmm, Kaworu, who has a healthy and honest personality, advises that, It may be that he's not a very good person, but I'm also curious about the opinions of those two who actually teamed up to dive the dungeon. Should we not make a decision on Butao's evaluation yet, and keep him as a person to watch out for?

And in the other direction, there are a couple of people talking about a topic that interests me. They are both girls who seem to be good at sports.

"Hey, have you decided which club to join?

"I heard there's going to be a recruitment ceremony, so I thought I'd check it out and decide.

"It seems that the club activities with the name 'Daiichi' are the most popular.

There are many events at school.

The first is a recruitment ceremony for club activities that will be held soon.

The adventurer school's club activities are a bit unique, and mainly focus on activities that are useful for adventurers. In addition to swordsmanship, archery, and magic, there are many other types of clubs, such as engineering, which trains craftsmen. Each club has its own dedicated facilities and trainers, and the curriculum is designed to best suit the activity. This training system can be called the highlight of the Adventurer School.

As we saw during the orientation, the facilities were so well-equipped that it looked like a major sports gym, and it was clear that a lot of money had been spent on it.

The club recruitment ceremony is a ceremony to introduce these club activities to the new students. This is where we decide which club we want to join.

If you get excellent results in the club competitions, you get a bonus for your performance, so it's a must for students aiming to get into Class A and enter the Adventurer's College. At the moment, I'm hoping to join the magic club because I want to pursue a career in magic. If possible, I'd like to join the first magic club, which is the largest. There seems to be a lot of research on magic and tactics, and I'd like to join the club to deepen my insight.

Then there is the election for student body president.

I overheard this when I was passing by Class A. It seems that the election for student body president will be held in July. And to my surprise, a female student from the first year A class is running for the position.

The student council president of this school has an extraordinary amount of political power compared to that of a normal school. With the billions of yen that the student council handles, it's no wonder that they have an unparalleled voice. And such a delicious position is inevitably a competition.

To become the student council president, you have to get the votes of many students. To get that many votes, you have to convince the main faction of the school to support you. That faction is the famous "Eight Dragons".

There are many groups and factions in the Adventurer's School, but the Eight Dragons are eight of the largest factions. The Eight Dragons are the eight largest factions in the Adventurer's School. They have a lot of students and factions at the lower levels, and are connected to famous adventurer clans and large corporations, so they have a lot of power.

The eight dragons currently known are the "Student Council", the "First Sword Club", the "First Magic Club", the "First Archery Club "and the "A Class Alliance". These factions have been well covered by the media and are known to the outside world even before I entered the school. There are said to be three more, but I don't know at the moment.

And just to run for student body president, you need to have the backing of several of the eight dragons. The fact that a first-year student who has only been in high school for a short time has that backing is truly amazing.

The other three factions and their first-year students. I'll have to look into them if I want to move up in this school.

TL Note- RIP Kowaru, This Chapter was satisfying for some (Me) and heartbreaking for some (Kowaru routers) . I once again Thank Krazey for making this Sponsored Chapter possible.

  5. Is the name Kaoru written Kaworu to force english speakers to pronounce it right? XD I saw a youtube channel that made recaps of mangas that uses a text reader instead of human voice and whenever the name Kaoru popped up it said "coru" and I found it funny.
