Chapter 2-A fleeting dream that Erio sees.

--In Erio's heart, there was an existence that she could not forget.

　

　It was a girl, It was the smile of a girl from the beast tribe called Senna.

　

　She had chestnut-colored hair and azure eyes. In spite of her young face, she sometimes acted somewhat older than she was.

"Hey, Senna? Can I ask you one question?"(Erio)

　

　Looking up at the night sky, they huddled together.

　

　Erio asked the girl, Senna. In response, the girl nodded with a somewhat enraptured expression. What is reflected in her eyes are the twinkling stars.

　

　And on her easily tied hair was a seashell hairpin.

　

　This was a matching item that she and Erio had purchased when they were walking through town one day.

"We'll be free someday, won't we, ......?"(Erio)

　

　A clang sounded different from that of the small waves.

　

　Erio asked unsurely over the sound.

　

　The clothes she wore were not the most flattering. They were torn in many places and full of splices. There were other factors besides the poverty of her life.

　

　She asked Senna about these and other factors.

"It's okay, Erio-sama."(Senna)

　

　Senna was originally a maid.

　

　Such a girl assured him in a polite, but at the same time intimate tone.

"You will be able to get out of here one day. I'm sure of this—."(Senna)

　

　Slowly, she closed her eyes.

"You're just having a bad dream right now. ......"(Senna)

　

　It was just an ordinary night.

　

　It's really a casual nighttime event, but for Erio, it's a very important one.

"I'm sure you're right. But--"(Erio)

　

　So, as you can see a little bit of hope.

"I wish I could dream like this for a little while longer ......."(Erio)
