A boy who was disowned because he was second in everything, is unknowingly unmatched
Volume 9
Chapter 2- Chris
(TL:By Rafael)
From the boy's perspective, Kaon Cinderius was like his reflection.
It was a bit of an understatement to call the person he was serving a merr reflection of himself , but he couldn't help but feel that way. No wonder he could not hate him from the bottom of his heart.
Kaon is a boy who was never shown the way.
It was one of the sad endings of not being able to meet such a person.
".................."(Chris)
Chris looked at Kaon, who was sitting on a chair in the distance.
Chris thought to himself.
He had a target in mind.
There was Marin Cinderius, a girl who had worked harder than anyone else, and had shown him the way to reach his goal. That's why Chris is here now.
He was the one who felt this most keenly.
He knew that he was very fortunate.
◇
"Milady, are you ready?"(Chris)
"Eh, yeah, ......!"(Marin)
Feeling her magic power rising, Chris called out to the precious girl who was his benefactor.
I'm sure I can save the life of the fallen girl now. The girl beside him, Marin, had been studying hard enough to make him sure of that.
Chris had always watched over her as a shadow.
That's why he can believe in her.
"Then--"(Chris)
Then the boy performed the undoing spell.
Instantly, his heart was in pain, as if someone was grabbing it.
This was a "death curse" by Kaon. If something, no matter how small, went against Kaon's intentions, it would trigger and cut off his life.
Blood that could not be concealed flowed down from the edge of Chris's mouth.
"............! You, that blood!"(Marin)
"Don't worry about it, milady. It's nothing to worry about. ......!"(Chris)
Marin's eyes widened at the sight of the boy.
However, Chris controlled her with his hand and instructed her to concentrate on healing. If she made a mistake here, it would surely leave a huge trauma in her mind.
So the boy pushed through his will, even at the cost of his life, even at the cost of himself.
He put his priorities in order.
For him, the first priority was Marin, and the second priority was....
"Cough......! Cough!"(Maki)
"Maki ......!"(Marin)
Yes, his second priority was Marin's loved ones.
There was no space for Chris to enter there.
(TL: Sad life man sad life)
The boy looked at Maki, who had regained her breath, and his face couldn't help forming a small smile.
--This is good, he thought.
"Well, then, ....... Let's fulfill my final role."(Chris)
Chris stands up, looking at the jubilant Marin and Gown.
Holding the knife in his hand, he slowly cast his gaze toward the man who had been his master.
It was as if Kaon and Chris were mirror images of each other. Whether he had something to love or not. Whether or not he had lost it. One wrong move and he would have gone the same way.
"..................!"(Chris)
Chris dragged his feet.
And hence Chris walked toward the end of the line.
TL Note- The series is turning to be gloomy and gloomy, Marin had her hero in Chris but who will be Chris's hero? If you have any guesses comment below.
Maybe Bonnie Tyler
ReplyDeleteWhere have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where's the streetwise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?…
I can’t think of Chris as a hero to Marin, let’s not forget he had a hand in Marin stabbing Gown which caused her to have a mental breakdown.
